Yamaha CG172SF Nylon String Flamenco Guitar

    • Jose Ramirez had the warmth of classical guitar while I really didn't prefer the sound of $2000 guitar over my Yamaha.
    • The sound has a nice punch and good volume
    • Overall, this guitar is light, durable, easy to play and sounds fantastic
    • However, these days flamenco guitars coming out of Spain have action just like classical guitars since players now play traditional rhythms of flamenco (low action makes snappier sound) in addition to playing lots of single lines.
    • I have a cordoba c7 classical guitar that has superior sound to the yamaha
    • I have a cordoba c5 which is a nice guitar with a good sound
    • It has a decent sound, good craftsmanship and playability.
    • But the sound on this yamaha i feel is every bit as good with far better playability
    • The sound is bright and sharp, just like you want in a Flamenco.
    • Easy to play, good sound and very light.
    • The sound was not clear, it felt cheap, and most times, the body was made of plastic
    • The bridge is very slow and make this horrible sound in frets, they didn't care so much about the finish in the fretboard in the front and back sides, the head looks like and and sticker put it in (and it does)
