It is has clear midrange and deep enough bass without being muddy

The bass is amazing as well

Mackies dip around 2.5 K which makes them muddy and (crossover too high 3K), Yamaha no dips in frequency range, super clear and tight bass

It has great bass response for a 12" when on the FOH/Main setting, but it will not produce heavy hitting lows required for the dancefloor

In the music production I do, being able to deliver the power on the the bottom end is important (kick and bass)
