Went with a different brand that has a switch-works great.

Was a great replacement--pedal works smoothly and has the feel and heaviness of a stationary pedal.

Bought this to go with my Yamaha Keyboard, works amazingly well, it is a bit like an on off switch, which i wish there were more degrees on it (worked like a dimmer), but that seems to be pretty standard.
