Great starter guitar with a rich, nice clear sound, that due to the solid wood top, should sound even better with age.

The laminate they use in the FD01S does look like cardboard through the soundhole, whereas my FGX-730SC has laminate back and sides that look like solid wood-much better grain (could be difference between nato and rosewood).The key with this guitar is, solid wood top

Being a solid wood guitar, I expect this guitar to open up and sound even better in a couple of years.
