The only negative would be the outdated OSD and front panel display as well as the cluttered look of the front

My Sony receiver has a much more modern looking UI and sleeker looking front panel display

Yamaha has kept the products completely up to date while maintaining a steady, reliable and known device look and identity in the market place

And, not just the information display but the Yamaha also look cluttered with a lot of buttons while I'd prefer a minimalist look
