If you wish to play above the second C, then I can't recommend this instrument.

A wonderful instrument for the price, plastic is easier to care for than wood and it produces a very pleasant sound.

The Yamaha YRA-28 alto is an inexpensive and very user friendly instrument that plays with excellent tone and intonation.

For someone who would like to try learning music and playing a wind instrument without sinking a pile of cash into it, this would probably be a good starter instrument.

This instrument is great for adults with large hands that can't play the soprano instrument, or those looking for a warmer and lower sound than the soprano

It might be a fault with me as the player, or with me not having bothered to apply the lubricating grease that came with it, or perhaps somehow due to me never formally cleaning the instrument (although I look inside it from time to time, and it looks clean), but for some reason, I find the lowest notes difficult to play with pleasant tone at volume.

This particular instrument from Yamaha is very affordable, and while it is made of resin, the ivory finish is quite attractive.
