I put hot food in it and it leaked out the hole and didn’t keep it hot

top does have a hole so you can drink through the top, so it can leak out if you tip it over etc.

If coffee hits the vent hole, it won't pour, so I used to tilt it back until it all rushed out & burned me

So my one grip that I adjusted was the vent hole on the standard lid is just too damn small.
