The camera itself does work really well and was fairly easy to set up and sync...once I figured out that my wi-fi internet connection was 5g and this product only supports up to 4g connection.

I have a relatively slow internet connection at home, and I am able to see the video on my phone when I am away just fine.

This one will not keep a good wireless connection no matter how close I put it to the router.

Would recommend, it's a very good value and the connection is more reliable than I have had with any of the 4 types of WiFi

Make sure you have a very good router close by (within 20 ft of the camera and with non-obstructed view), as our router is a KnightHawk and goes up to 5 mghz (however it does not support that high of a speed) and still had spotty connection at times while placing it in a windowsill in the same room (room size estimated at 300-350 sqft)

I have nearly every type of Foscam made & I am tired of the spotty connections/disconnections when trying to view the cameras remotely.

The connection to live view is fast, and you can capture picture or video taping while you do live view, great features

Motion tracker then connection itself broke the first day and despite multiple emails YI support was unable to get this camera reconnected.

And that's the crux of this camera... it will work via the phone app for about 30 mins (sometimes much less and occasionally longer) but then loses connection out to the Yi servers and thus becomes completely useless

The connection is constantly failing and the app for the device has a routine error code that doesn’t allow me to login and stream the video signal, even after downloading the updates of the app from the App Store.

I’m not sure if it’s the camera or the WiFi, but it freezes, and my connection is poor when I’m out.

Btw, I first bought the Pet Cube, and the connection was terrible; I reset the Pet Cube twice without success.

All that is needed is a good Wi-Fi connection.
