The green light in the base comes on for a few seconds to let you know that charging is working and then goes off so it's not glowing all night long

What I don't like is the 2-3 cycles of lighting every time you dock the phone on the stand; it's really annoying and bright in the dark, and any phone the charges wirelessly will indicate that it is charging without such a feature.
