I recommend getting a backup key or if your spouse or partner uses one, register both keys on each other's account.

After a few minutes of Googling, I easily defeated the key and was able to log into my Mac without the key

The only product that is easy to implement for security as long as what ever your securing supports this key.

A great back-up key

Works as expected, though I would like to upgrade to yubikey with NFC capabilities later.hope that I don't loose it, I cannot find a way to replace it if the key has been lost.

These Yubico keys are great

They ask their customers to have faith that there are no bugs or backdoors that hackers or governments can exploit to steal their customers' keys

Problem is: these keys are not compatible with much of anything at the moment

This Key is well made out of a hard plastic that can take a total beating without cracking, and always works without fail.
