I purchased the 1 TB hard drive with it and am very happy.

I bought the hard drive separately, which was also very inexpensive, and I feel so much more secure leaving our business at night knowing this it is monitored 24/7!

I am going to install a hard drive soon and will update this review with the recording and play back performance

A little misleading in the ad as dvr, it will only record when you purchase a hard drive sold separately

Also people are confused about it not having a hard drive included

Don’t use a WD Blue hard drive

It has the DVR box but you will have to make an additional purchase of a hard drive to make it record and install that hard drive yourself.

It works great good images night vision way better than expected easy to install step by step instructions comes with everthing you need 3xcept the hard drive.. was no big deal to hope on by one and install

The set doesn’t come up with a Hard drive which is used for video storage

easy to setup good picture quality only draw back is the instructions are not very good, you will need to buy at least a 1 TB hard drive for the system

I did have to purchase a hard drive but other than that I love it

I also purchased the hard drive which I would highly recommend if you are going through the trouble of installing cameras in the first place.

Have not hooked to wifi yet because we are going to use the hard drive we purchased separately

I purchased this system a couple months ago along with a 2TB CCTV Hard drive and 20 inch LED monitor.

If you plan on being on vacation for more than a few days, you need a hard drive of sufficient capacity to hold all the files till you get back from vacation... a good rule of thumb, 5 cameras use about 1 terabyte per week in my experience)

Now its recording everything i install the hard drive

I did have to reinstall and reformat the hard drive which was a hassle, but the system has been working fine since (few weeks).Cameras are very clear during the day

I installed a $10 hard drive and set it up in minutes

Product is a good value, you do need to add a hard drive if you want to record

DVR is easy to use, adding hard drive was surprisingly easy, internet setup was fairly simple with a little help from youtube.

The option of installing your own hard drive helps to keep costs down

I was able to connect the hard drive to the dvr myself, with help from the instruction guide

and then I discovered it did not have a hard drive, which I purchased separately

Opened the dvr up and there was no hard drive!

This system is not worth the hassle of installing your own additional hard drive and dealing with the delays in customer service

They take a long time to respond and they have plenty of excuses to avoid replacing their defective DVR or hard drive.

Installed the $35 500 GB Western Digital hard drive that I purchased separately, hooked the DVR up to an old lcd tv via vga, hooked up cameras, powered it up, followed instructions to format the hard drive, set it to record and watched it work

Also will need to look into how to add a hard drive as this model does not capture the history.

The second unit failed completely even with a new hard drive, the piezo buzzer would continuously sound when it is plugged in and no video

I thought the issue was the hard drives, so I replaced one with a brand new wd purple drive and had the same results

The hard drive was the easiest thing ever to install

It does NOT come with a hard drive so if you expect to record video you will need to buy one separately, I also have not been able to get it to record

Stick a hard drive in it and hook up the cameras

We ordered this set (4 cameras & dvr), a hard drive for the dvr, & an extra 100ft chord

Out of the box easy to connect I added a SATA hard drive, ran the provided wiring hooked them up to the cameras I bolted to my home and turned it on, created a password and done.

This merchandise that your company sent to me ,I don't know I would need to order all of these others thing to get it to work ,cables,hard drive

I also missed the fact it came with no hard drive.

Purchased the hard drive separately and installed in a rental property.

We had an issue with our system crashing the hard drive and they were right on it and fixed the issue.

could not use immediatekly submitted all photos of all connections no help had one connection with no matching plug between the power cord and camera.i ordered an adapter on my own from a different source and it works great i like my order notthe support
