For the money this is a very efficient way to digitize my hundreds of old 35mm slides and negatives

Takes some practice but once mastered it is the fastest and most cost effective way to convert slides

User Manual can be written in better way.

But incorporating such a feature would undoubtedly make the scanner much more expensive, defeating the purpose of making available an economical way to convert old slides & negatives.

I did another 2000 slides this way and it worked good enough

Otherwise, things will be backwards, including any thing with a sign (my wife found this out the hard way), but it was easy to correct, and she's been using this to make memory books for each of our 7 grand children.

It is the best way I've found to convert old slides from my parents into digital pictures without having to pay someone else to do it

(I manually updated the metadata based on the month/year stamp, any notes written on the slide, and location when I knew it - using a separate tool.)The included slide feeder is (all things considered) an awesome way to quickly scan a bunch of slides

And once it's in if inserted the wrong way-it's not coming out

I had a difficult time figuring out how to switch the mode from b/w, slide print and negative.

Instruction could be a little more clear as to the names of the buttons.

I also fear that the slide tray will break as it didn't open easily and often got stuck while opening on the right edge.

I wanted to scan a bunch of family slides from the 1980s that are in really good shape - I went through all of the them with a projector as well as with a slide viewer
