Can't get the sound to come out without heavy echoing or background noise.

All in all I prefer my old se215 since I do want a pair of earbuds that can isolate some background noise.

The mic on it is exceptionally clear for the other party as well, with a good background noise cancellation

I typically just have my headphones on to drown out background noise in cafes while I sit and write, but these ones produce such good sound that I was distracted by the depth of sound in the music I was listening to

The microphone is nothing to write home about, picks up a lot of background noise and makes any conversation but one conducted inside a library, difficult at best, I didn't buy these ear monitors for hands-free communication and deducted no points for how bad it is, just mentioning it because some people might and because I am still surprised that such an expensive piece, oriented at a higher-end clientele can be this thoughtless when it comes to something as important as noise cancelation.7

Not only are they really great quality, they don't tangle nearly as badly as any other headphone/wire I've used before

so there's a fair amount of noise as well as on the city streets that I walk

The mix isn't as clean as it could be.

I treat these as well as I can, using the provided leather box to store them in and making sure I pull on the jack itself, not the cord, when pulling them out of a socket

In fact, I was quite amazed the first time I listened to them and they’ve improved as they’ve been burned in

I would highly recommend them, especially for low powered devices such as phones or portable players as they are very efficient with enjoyable, full bodied sound

As these earphones have a balanced sound and bring out a lot of detail in songs including the bad as if the song has bad recording or is low quality these earphones will pick that up

They're as close to perfect as you can get for half the price of these gems.

I also think that the braided cable might be a factor into why these earbuds are as durable as they are

I don't know if something actually went wrong or if that's normal, but I actually ended up liking it that way b/c the less thumpy bass made the earbuds more suitable for gaming, and music still sounds fine regardless.

Went thru Beastie Boys 'Ill Communication' and heard all the background chatter... just amazing with Rap/R&B/Jazz

I really like the leather case; very convenient.

I only regret not going ahead and going for the 4 driver model.
