    • My passengers side headlight was completely covered with very dark yellow oxidation, with 120,000, mostly highway miles, and would have been about $250-350 just for the headlight assembly, plus about an hour of labor if you were not installing it yourself as I would

    • The Maguire is truly a better finish but fails to provide last protection from UV and oxidation
    • (They say not to do this in the instructions, and let me tell you... that crap is *incredibly* difficult to get off if you overdo it & smudge the lights).PSA:If your headlight lenses are large, get a cheap orbital sander (~$15 to $20), get some store-bought ~200 grit sandpaper (<$5), and knock off the heavy oxidation before using this kit
    • “burning” the oxidation into the plastic.
    • The first 500 grit will remove the old plastic clear coat and oxidation

    • Heavy oxidation takes some work to clear off
    • If you have never polished, buffed or sanded plastic or metal using a power tool then I strongly recommend not only using the instructions exactly as shown or practicing on a different piece of plastic.

    • didn,t work well at all
    • n’t think they’d clear up
    • Lenses were clouded by original factory coating which was chipping off and clear in some spots, sanded down entire lens with provided pads, I frequently beat dust out of sanding pads and wiped lense surfaces down with clean t-shirt rags because build-up of dust in grit happens quickly and will mar the work.
    • n’t regret it.
    • n’t work I would go for something that has buffing compound and buff

    • If you have never polished, buffed or sanded plastic or metal using a power tool then I strongly recommend not only using the instructions exactly as shown or practicing on a different piece of plastic.
