The octave up effect is very slight, but it gives your fuzz tone more breadth and brightens it up just a touch.

You can get some really nice tones out of this pedal

You can manipulate the tone and fuzz with the knobs which is nice

If you have good tone between just your amp and guitar then everything else should just enhance it and this will do just that

My Line 6 Spider has a lot of usable tones but lacks the clean sound of a Fender clean tube amp IMHO

It's easy to dial in a nice clean tone that's very useable considering it's going into a PA

With these I can get most of the sounds I needed, but what was escaping me was the really warm, natural, slightly breaking up tone you get with a good old tube amp.

You do need to play with the settings to get the sweet tones

Sound lends to the hollow tones better than the fuller, but is very configurable and gives plenty of room for creativity

You'll need to tweak them further as you work the "Voice" knob, which ranges from cleaner "surf" tone to a more aggressive (and thicker) gain structure as you rotate it clockwise

I've used this pedal in front of a Pro Junior (modded for clean headroom) to get a blackface Princeton clean tone, and I've used it direct for recording, and have been very pleased with it in both these applications.

The tone is quite bright and I usually have to set it to around 9 o'clock, but if you do that, there's fuzz (and actually, tone) there in spades.

A single tone knob is worthless for getting a good tone, in my opinion.

So, if you're looking for a amp-like clean tone from a pedal, skip this and consider the British Tone or the California Sound.

It didn't take long at all before I was getting really sweet tones and feeling good about purchasing the American sound pedal

I'm not sure exactly how the voice knob does what it does, but it changes the voice from a thin single-coil sound to a rich humbucker tone

The Joyo has Great Fender Tone in a Pedal for $40.

Definitely worth the money though, you can get some really cool tones with the mid cut knob, and the octave up is really great to kick in on a solo or lead part,it has this QOTSA but at the same time classic octave up sound and the pedal is quite versatile in tone besides not cleaning up much, especially when paired with an eq pedal.

This pedal provides great sounds from clean to overdrive, particularly well suited to blues and rock, but will provide nice warm clean tones for jazz/pop as well

Both the Joyo CS and BT pedals will do a great amp clean tone when ran into my recording interface.

This amp in a box let's me get good tones at low volumes, which keeps the peace when my wife and children are in the next room watching tv

I think my favorite tone so far is the neck pickup on my Strat-style kit build with the Drive at about 3 o'clock, EQ flat all the way across, and Voice at about 1 o'clock
