A1841 Joyo JF-02 Ultimate Overdrive Pedal, Featuring True Bypass Wiring

    • But it does make the clean tone in the crate very tasty
    • I play Pink Floyd covers and this pedal with some modulation, gives you that awesome tone for songs like Shine On, Poles Apart, Coming Back To Life and tons more
    • Does it have a ton of great fuzz tones that you'll have a blast tweaking and messing with
    • The octave up effect is very slight, but it gives your fuzz tone more breadth and brightens it up just a touch.
    • Best tone I've ever played
    • With the gain fully turned up, it is possible to get a nice, trebly solo tone
    • Well, Still of little to no use for PA or direct to computer use, or when the amp has a "hifi" quality aux input ..such as many bass amps, however...the eq and drive does a decent job of emulating that fender clean tone/mild breakup when run through a good clean channel of another guitar
    • The overall tone was lacking, I sent this pedal back for a refund.
    • This pedal is very subtle in it's effect, but for those with an ear to listen can tell the amazing rich tone this pedal produces
    • The tone is kinda unbelievable
    • If I use the amp's "tone" or "gain" settings, the hissing and screeching comes in full force
    • Last night I pushed a little boosted distortion into the American Sound and it may very well have been the very best guitar tone I've ever had.
    • This pedal is capable of a great clean tone palette for direct into a PA, but it needs a DI box to make it useable
    • Otherwise this is just a straight boost/OD box (with an awesome tone stack)
    • but it's nice great tones and sounds
    • And the tone knobs really enhance the tone in the low, mid and high ranges, accentuating rather than muddying the tone
    • I used to play through a '63 Vibro Champ amp, and missed the nice clean tones that little baby would squeeze out
    • Aside from poor packing job, and power issue, this pedal sucks tone like crazy when the Octave Up is active
    • what does work sounds great good fender tube tone
    • I am a lo fi, blues/funk rock player who loves distorted tones
    • You can get some really nice tones out of this pedal
    • You can manipulate the tone and fuzz with the knobs which is nice
    • Good looking and good tone for the price, but the octave function needs some modification to be useful
    • Built like a tank and capable of everything from just a pinch of fuzz to full on fuzzageddon, the JF-12 has a huge range of musical, usable tones
    • If you have good tone between just your amp and guitar then everything else should just enhance it and this will do just that
    • I guess I didn't realize it as the time, but there's a distinctive "Fender amp" tone that this pedal imparts which is perfect for a little edginess up to gritty blues.
    • Normally I'm a Marshall guy but can't resist that great Fender tone
    • I was missing the tone I used to get out of some of my older Peavey amps, and this pedal brought it back -- but with a decidely Fender-like sparkle to it
    • It's currently my "dirty" clean Fender tone with the Joyo AC Tone covering my harder-driving stuff
    • When I want dirt, this pedal fills the bill so I can roll from a dirty Fender tone to a crunchier not quite Marshall tone
    • Takes pedals very well and has a awesome tone, cool orange color and responsive EQ
    • This pedal has that nice sparkly warm tube tone that any fool would be happy with
    • Has great tone, only thing some people might be disappointed because the octave effect is not really pronounced, but it is there.
    • Adds character and enhances tone.
    • Very nice tones
    • My Line 6 Spider has a lot of usable tones but lacks the clean sound of a Fender clean tube amp IMHO
    • It's easy to dial in a nice clean tone that's very useable considering it's going into a PA
    • With these I can get most of the sounds I needed, but what was escaping me was the really warm, natural, slightly breaking up tone you get with a good old tube amp.
    • You do need to play with the settings to get the sweet tones
    • Sound lends to the hollow tones better than the fuller, but is very configurable and gives plenty of room for creativity
    • You'll need to tweak them further as you work the "Voice" knob, which ranges from cleaner "surf" tone to a more aggressive (and thicker) gain structure as you rotate it clockwise
    • Great tone, very adjustable, multiple sounds in one pedal.
    • I love this pedal, you can get some awesome tones from it
    • I'd recommend for anyone who wants a clean to slightly gritty vintage tone without having to spend much.
    • It's currently my "dirty" clean Fender tone with the Joyo AC Tone covering my harder-driving stuff
    • The tone control does a decent job sculpting tone, and the mid cut switch provides a good different voice, and is a pretty good option to have on there
    • I've used this pedal in front of a Pro Junior (modded for clean headroom) to get a blackface Princeton clean tone, and I've used it direct for recording, and have been very pleased with it in both these applications.
    • It also is a warmer, fuller tone with the mid-cut on
    • Aside from poor packing job, and power issue, this pedal sucks tone like crazy when the Octave Up is active
    • I used to play through a '63 Vibro Champ amp, and missed the nice clean tones that little baby would squeeze out
    • This clean tone handles overdrives nicely
    • The fuzz has a nice tone.
    • A noisy pedal that provided no enjoyable tones
    • And the tone knobs really enhance the tone in the low, mid and high ranges, accentuating rather than muddying the tone
    • It can do both very well, not perfect,no pedal is, but you can dial in some great tones
    • Great tone...surprisingly good for the price
    • It has more of a marshall sound when utlized behind a tubescreamer but overall has a great tone that I keep coming back to.
    • great tone.
    • I haven't tried it direct to house yet, but with a little time I am betting you can dial in a great tone
    • I love stacking this on top of the Big Muff Pi to create this massively loud fuzz tone
    • With these I can get most of the sounds I needed, but what was escaping me was the really warm, natural, slightly breaking up tone you get with a good old tube amp.
    • May just be buffered, but it doesn't suck tone
    • Amazingly great tones
    • The tone is quite bright and I usually have to set it to around 9 o'clock, but if you do that, there's fuzz (and actually, tone) there in spades.
    • A single tone knob is worthless for getting a good tone, in my opinion.
    • So, if you're looking for a amp-like clean tone from a pedal, skip this and consider the British Tone or the California Sound.
    • Nice fuzzy tone
    • It didn't take long at all before I was getting really sweet tones and feeling good about purchasing the American sound pedal
    • I'm not sure exactly how the voice knob does what it does, but it changes the voice from a thin single-coil sound to a rich humbucker tone
    • A great tone for the money.
    • For best tone: try operating the drive knob and the voice knob in reverse of one another
    • If you like classic Fender tones, especially cleans, you'll love the Joyo American Sound.
    • I think my tone has been perfected
    • Some serious sweet tone
    • The Joyo has Great Fender Tone in a Pedal for $40.
    • Definitely worth the money though, you can get some really cool tones with the mid cut knob, and the octave up is really great to kick in on a solo or lead part,it has this QOTSA but at the same time classic octave up sound and the pedal is quite versatile in tone besides not cleaning up much, especially when paired with an eq pedal.
    • This pedal provides great sounds from clean to overdrive, particularly well suited to blues and rock, but will provide nice warm clean tones for jazz/pop as well
    • Both the Joyo CS and BT pedals will do a great amp clean tone when ran into my recording interface.
    • This amp in a box let's me get good tones at low volumes, which keeps the peace when my wife and children are in the next room watching tv
    • Nice fuzzy tone
    • The clean tones are amazing, the drive tones are awesome
    • It keeps the stage quiet, and gives me just about the same great tone I get out of my amp.
    • Low price, seems durable and reliable, and most of all, excellent tone
    • Using it to DI in to Ableton, amazing tone for 39 dollars!
    • I think my favorite tone so far is the neck pickup on my Strat-style kit build with the Drive at about 3 o'clock, EQ flat all the way across, and Voice at about 1 o'clock
    • I loved this pedal right out of the box, used it a bunch, has anywhere from a good Robin Trower tone, all the way to like a good Mastodon tone
