Personally, this pedal played with my mustang V solid state amp just make it sound unbelievably good
I have it at the end of my signal chain to "warm up" my solid state amp
I have a solid state Fender amp (Champion 100W) with on board modelling
I get comments about my tone all the time, and most people can't believe I'm using a solid state amp with a chinese made tube modeling pedal
I place my jekyll & hyde overdrive in front of this pedal to boost it, also my ibanez ts-7.I've tried using this pedal as an overdrive with my amps, I used a solid state amp and the blues
Also, these have two capacitors on the PCB which were soldered backwards (their polarities are reversed) and if you take the time to switch them around you'll get a much better effect
The JF-12 fulfilled the purpose with relatively clean boost, decent overdrive, great fuzz, and a reasonable octave generator effect
If you are looking to get a good octavix/Octavia type effect in this pedal, you may want to reconsider(MHO)...
For the price, this guy puts out a pretty good range of fuzz, and the octave up effect is decent for high and high-mid ranges
I tested the sound with a Yamaha nylon silent guitar, directly plugged into my recording interface, which probably isn't what most people would use, but I hope that the effect is nevertheless easy to gauge by ear as I go through different settings in my video
Does a good job if making my telecaster sound better straight to my BOSE T1 and
The pedal does an excellent job at modeling the classic Fender tweeds
Well, Still of little to no use for PA or direct to computer use, or when the amp has a "hifi" quality aux input ..such as many bass amps, however...the eq and drive does a decent job of emulating that fender clean tone/mild breakup when run through a good clean channel of another guitar
It is supposed to mimic the sound of a late 50's fender amp and I think it does a great job
There are some A/B blind test on you tube and is really hard to tell what is what
My only gripe would be that the footswith could feel of better quality however everything works as it should
Don't know yet how it works as it did not come with a cord....

I've used it in front of solid-state and tube amps alike, as well as in a direct recording setup, and have been pleased with my tone in every instance
Great toneTHe fuzz on this is alrightThe octave switch is useful for getting interesting effects and for creating a dirtier soundThe mid cut is nice to havecons:lots of noise from the pedalthe pedal has horrible feedback, worse than when I am using a blues driver and a standard distortion pedal at the same timeThis pedal is good if you like getting lots of feedback (my band actually uses this to get feedback to end/begin some songs haha
