lots of drive pedals seem to kind of blanket the tone is a consistent drive

how I use it...seems like there could be MORE drive to it though

I own many different overdrives, including light overdrives in the "Tubescreamer", and some ones capable of getting a bit more raucous (Blues Driver, OCD, Joyo Ultimate Drive, etc.).

The MojoMojo is great driven straight into a clean amp, when stacked with other overdrives, or when sent into a dirty amp for a heavy tone

The drive goes from really clean and subtle, like a mild boost, up to super drive territory

Unit works as described, gives very good control over effect ranging from slight overdrive to vintage full on fuzz tones

Boost control gives good control over effect vs bypass and unit as a whole produces little noise even at high volume in small venues

Great sound, great controls and construction, easy to set

It is great for Blues,Classic Rock, Country, and Jazz.

However, if your hope is simply to plug into the MojoMojo into a clean amp and expect classic rock tones, you may be a bit disappointed with it as a standalone overdrive pedal

With drive set to 3pm and level at 2pm this gives a solid classic rock drive with a les paul and a blues junior.. really nice, roll back the gtr volume and it cleans to a crunch, roll back the drive and control from clean to crunch with the gtr volume.highly recommended..

I have found my favorite use for this pedal is as a boost

I feel that the preferred use of this pedal is as a stacked overdrive pushing some other type of overdrive or distortion.

I have owned/used/loved many TC Electronic pedals over the last few years.

Ok, since I sold off my gigging amps and such, I have one amp for my home playing, a Roland Street EX, which for its size, price and weight does a fine job for what it is.

It also does a remarkable job of maintaining a good low end without getting muddy.

Does a good job to mimic classic overdriven tubes in a tube amp.

It does a nice job of adding a bit of gain and saturation to your tone without coloring it too much with different character.

It does a good job of giving a little bit of extra volume after another OD pedal before it hits the amp.

Great beginner pedal to start your board if you need a nice priced pedal

The price of the two pedals together was very reasonable and it was worth a shot, but I couldn't produce enough usable sounds between the two of them to justify keeping either one

really you hate warm, sustaining, natural-tube overdrive; you won't like it at all

If you want warm overdrive then this is a good pedal to get.

With the gain turned up to 10:00, it's a nice warm overdrive

At its lowest gain setting, it is basically a boost pedal; it gives if a more full rich tone.

More drive pedals need to have multi-band EQ - it makes such a huge difference in the versatility of the pedal, and I can't imagine this sounding bad through any amp.

I haven't found a bad sound on it yet and rarely leave it the same setting as it's so much fun to tweak and find new sonic territory.

Honestly, my bass already has a great sound and built-in 3-way EQ, so I tend to keep the Treble/Bass settings on the pedal center and modify that directly on the bass.

I can wrangle out more heavenly saturated sounds from my high-gain patches on my Blackstart ID15 amp with this pedal although turning the gain up on the pedal on a clean, low-gain patch sounds bad

Actually, the separate knobs for Bass and Treble and its darker tone remind me a bit of the Digitech Bad Monkey
