So, I got this "cheap" pedal as to use as a clean boost to my Blues Overdrive.
Most "Marshall-in-a-box" stomps, imo, sound much tamer than a real Marshall, and they give you a "prettied-up", safer version of that sound, in order to appease the 15-year-old Children Of Boredom/Cannibal Corpse lame-o neo-hippies the scene is now infested with
I am using it primarily as a dirty boost, as I am primarily an overdrive guy

My setup is a very simple one...starting with a Stratocaster to compressor, wah-wah, super-overdrive, boost pedal, delay, then straight into the front end of a tube amp with reverb & vibrato
Just save up for a used tube screamer this product is worthless
I would highly recommend this product as a quality product and an awesome value
Recommend to anyone who is interested in a good product with a good price.

good product , fast delivery, good seller, definitely recommend to a friend
Has a great sound from warn overdrive to a good distortion
Best brittish distortion pedal you can get at this price
This pedal has a great sounding distortion but can also sound like an overdrive if dialed in right
This pedal is not a hard core distortion but even with the gain rolled all the way off it still adds a good amount of break up to a clean channel with guitar volume up all the way and medium to hard picking
Nice sounds from low overdrive to Hard Rock distortion.
The thing sounds great with a tube amp, and offers an array of sounds that can be heard just by tweaking the pedal
The great thing about the JOYO pedals is you can buy 4-6 for the same price of one boutique pedal
Maybe I was lucky but this thing is great for the price.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and it's certainly better than having no headroom to set the pedal louder (a frequent criticism of the BOSS DS-1), but it's something to be aware of
CONsThe only negative thing is that the hard foam underneath you cannot stick anything to, so my pedalboard velcro would not stick
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good compressor on a budget.
Just as good as other compressor pedals that cost three times as much!
I'm not familiar with more expensive compressors and how they might be noticeably better, but this one sounds exactly how I would expect a compressor to work.
It's a great pedal - subtle, low-noise compressor suitable for electric guitar or bass
I wanted a basic, cheap compressor to provide some sustain and to even out rhythmic playing.
I bought this overdrive for my brother's H&K Tubemeister 18 which he just hated with a passion because it didn't have enough gain
At first I was confused as to why it sounded horrible but got such great reviews
Not the end all pedals like some claim but they all work as they are supposed to.
(Full CCW causes the compression to start immediately; full CW brings the compression on gradually so the pick attack and the majority of the initial tone passes through unaffected).Once you get the feel of that, dial up a singing overdrive tone and notice what you can do with it
Apparently it didn't blow me away so much as to get a replacement though.
PriceRangeSoundCons:9V Battery only, it would be nice if you could plug it in, otherwise you must be conscientious of your battery useOverall great product so far, well worth the price, and a lot of fun, I will be purchasing one for myself!
I thought maybe a dead battery, nope, this P.O.S. is broken after less than 2 hours of light use.
It doesn't tone-suck when bypassed, is easy to dial in, has a hi/low switch, easy battery swap compartment
Not the end all pedals like some claim but they all work as they are supposed to.
At this extremely affordable price it's hard to pass by such a great petal billed as an OCD clone this pedal does not sound quite as good as the Fulltone petal but is extremely usable and excellent sounding t in my opinion
Footswitch is nice and solid and feels like your standard boutique true bypass switch.
Battery or 9v power, footswitch is a nice click that is easy to feel, design is cheesy but not overly cheesy
It's also built pretty solidly, with a nice thick metal box and footswitch
(as you turn it clock wise) - I like it for adding charcater/punch to my live

Loose wires and bad components were everywhere on the board
and I don't think they would hold up to much use over time but mine will be hard wired on a pedal board.
As cheap as it is even 2 are cheaper than buying what it was copied from....the jacks are super cheap as is the switch and the wiring is not so hot, but for the price you cant really beat it...
Solid build construction, sound is good, no wiring issues
Problem with mine was it would cut in and out kinda like a loose wire to a car speaker if that makes sense
This delay was quite " no extra hiss" and sounded very good to my ears with just enough repeats to go into ocolation, if I want, and plenty of time option to play with
Bad: Adds a little noise & hiss specially to single coils (strats & teles).
Otherwise you end up compressing the processed signal, including any extra hiss or noise the other pedals make.
(as you turn it clock wise) - I like it for adding charcater/punch to my live
Construction is first rate and there is absolutly no hum, hiss, loss of signal, nor any excessive coloring of your signal

From AC/DC to Guns 'N Roses, the Offspring to Pink Floyd, the JF-02 Ultimate Drive pedal from JOYO nails the timeless tones of the Classic Rock era
The "OCD pedal," as it has become known, has two settings - High and Low - which allow for flexibility
The tone it creates is soothing and sweet when just a little bit of gain is dialed in
And then you start to lay into the pedal (either with another pedal up front or by turning up the drive and volume) and the Ultimate Drive really begins to shine! Arena rockers beware..
you won't want to let anyone borrow this little monster
Designed with the goal of recreating the tone of a tube amplifier at volume, the OCD's distortion is somewhat of a hybrid when it comes to Solid State or Vacuum Tube tone
The real deal when it comes to aesthetics, sound and construction - Joyo's Ultimate Drive pedal features a metal shell-casing, quality connectors and sturdy controls, with bright-red plastic knobs! The JF-02 has been wired for true-bypass, has an LED on/off indicator light, and the second Hi/Low tone switch, besides the normal ON/OFF Stomp-box clicker-switch, is durable and functional
This pedal will provide years of service and will turn heads as the cutting midrange pierces through the crowd
Joyo's OCD or Ultimate Drive Distortion/Overdrive pedal comes with a 9V battery, so its ready for action right out of the box
Better still, it's available at an incredible price!
