Joyo JF-02 Ultimate Overdrive Pedal, featuring true Bypass Wiring, Tone Switch and Quality components

    • So, while the OCD provides a better, more neutral clean boost and gentle overdrive, the Joyo is great choice to save money
    • Amazing value for money sounds as good as any overdrive I have used and I have tried loads
    • Overall, just a great overdrive
    • This may be the Holy Grail of pedals for anyone who wants anything from a nice screamy overdrive, to a subtle blusey grit.
    • From smooth overdrive to chunky marshall type distortion
    • Wonderful clean boost and warm overdrive too.
    • The Joyo Vintage Overdrive is great for adding crunch to your set-up
    • I had this compressor as well as the Vintage Overdrive on it
    • If you play punk or anything with a hard overdriven guitar, this pedal is for you
    • I would recommend the vintage overdrive
    • I would suggest this to any one who is looking for a good affordable overdrive
    • I own this the classic overdrive and the ultimate overdrive by joyo.
    • That is probably something that isn't preferred by a blues guy looking for a really transparent overdrive, but it's not overbearing
    • Good, smooth overdrive
    • So I ordered the "Behringer VT999 Classic Vacuum Tube Overdrive" thinking it would be better
    • Not at all a neutral pedal as it definitely affects the tone, but it's a great overdrive.
    • Simple and effective overdrive or boost
    • Kind of a perfect overdrive imo
    • I like the overdrive but there is a VERY obvious latency when you press the switch
    • A great distortion/overdrive
    • I really liked using this as a preamp rather then an overdrive
    • Rather you can dial in just about any classic rock overdrive or clean tone you want
    • For less than 30 bucks it's a pretty solid overdrive.
    • the overdrive is very good and the construction is very very sturdy.
    • Before I say anything about this pedal I think people should keep in mind this is a small fraction of the price of more popular overdrives and tube screamers
    • I am now using this and Joyo's Ultimate Overdrive on my single-channel amp to give me two levels of overdrive, and they work well next to each other.
    • Wonderful clean boost and warm overdrive too.
    • This pedal achieves warm and chimey tube amp tones similar to that of Fender and Vox (as it is supposed to) this pedal covers it all, clean boost, light overdrive, all the way to over the top feed back and distortion
    • i use a joyo vintage overdrive for clean boost/slight overdrive and kick this pedal in to really get raunchy.
    • This is a great high gain overdrive
    • I started looking for a good overdrive over a year ago
    • I used this pedal as a boost for the Joyo Classic Overdrive
    • I've been using a BK Butler Tube Driver as my overdrive for the last several years and honestly, I like the tone and drive of this Joyo better
    • However, it sounds great and is my main pedal when I want some nice beefy overdrive
    • and it's a much smoother overdrive, not harsh at all.
    • This is one of the best overdrives I have ever had ( and for under 40 bone's
    • I found that the vintage overdrive works its best in front of the compressor
    • If you looking for a nice pretty well behaved overdrive, look elsewhere
    • Best Cheap Overdrive on the market
    • ( I do love the overdrive on that though)
    • The price of Joyo pedals is so much less expensive that competing products, so if you are looking for a cheap overdrive, this is it
    • Very smooth overdrive reminiscent of other "tubescreamer" pedals
    • I dropped it on my main pedal board rig between the EQ and distortion pedals... plays real nice with the Pro Co RAT at low distortion levels... jumped between driving blues and AC/DC riffs nicely, which is straight up how I measure a good overdrive
    • it has nice tone dynamics going on inside of it , very nice as a clean boost and also a great overdrive
    • Powerful overdrive
    • Apparently it's comparable to the Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, but I actually think it's a totally different breed of overdrive (not as muddy sounding, fits in the mix a lot smoother, and cheaper too)
    • I generally prefer the Vox overdrive, but this is very useful for obtaining more of a Marshall flavor when needed.
    • It's a great little box - puts down some nice overdrive without much fuss
    • It's a decent overdrive, not super powerful
    • The tone is much thicker and has more low end, and I'd say that is what Boss accomplished with the OD-3 for players who want more than the upper midrange hump in the standard Super Overdrive.
    • A great distortion/overdrive
    • Easy to find a good overdrive that sounds authentically vintage.
    • The Vintage Overdrive for its price (all are a true bargain, practical , and useable for live performance/recording, bedroom/den practice, and just playing accurate to what they emulate.), can't be beat
    • You aren't getting what you paid for cause it's built very well and the overdrive is amazing on this thing
    • If you're needing a good overdrive to add to your
    • This is a great all around overdrive that can get some great old school overdrive sounds
    • Great, nice smooth overdrive, put a Sweet Baby in front of it and have some real fun.
    • I like this better than most overdrives--at any price--I've tried in 40 years of playing.
    • It gives you a nice tube overdrive, much like a tube screamer.
    • I can get anything from that classic 'chimey' Vox tone to some pretty gritty overdrive, and everything in between.
    • It looks better than my Vintage Overdrive (again, great pedal).
    • The joyo is pretty dam close, it seems a bit noisy, but in my experience most overdrive and/or distortions are
    • Good price, functional overdrive, could be noisy.
    • * (all the joyo pedal reviews seem to me mixed together).Nice sounding pedal that goes from a clear sounding 'bluesy' overdrive up to moderate distortion
    • It handles everything from easy overdrive to nearly all out metal (not a metal pedal though) but it gets that drive from those huge amps of the 70's right on the money
    • So I had been shopping a long time for a decent overdrive that would give me a john mayer like tone
    • low-gain "crunch" sounds very well, but if that's what you want, consider the Joyo Vintage Overdrive, the Joyo Crunch Distortion, or a Tubescreamer.
    • I employ this pedal more than my boss distortions and my electro harmonix distortions/overdrives.
    • I bought it to boost the overdrive on my
    • I use on the pedal in the video:Drive about 50-60%Volume about 25%Tone about 90%I have this connected to a small, basic amp that is set for nice clear tones on the guitar, then when I want to have more fuzzy overdrive, I just hit this pedal instead of trying to adjust the amp settings
    • The Ultimate Overdrive covers the mid to heavy overdrive/distortion no problem
    • but it's a decent overdrive and the construction is very heavy duty
    • If you looking for a nice pretty well behaved overdrive, look elsewhere
    • I recommend the Ultimate Overdrive without reservation!
    • The sweet baby overdrive is much cheaper feeling than this one
    • Most "Marshall-in-a-box" stomps, imo, sound much tamer than a real Marshall, and they give you a "prettied-up", safer version of that sound, in order to appease the 15-year-old Children Of Boredom/Cannibal Corpse lame-o neo-hippies the scene is now infested with
    • (as you turn it clock wise) - I like it for adding charcater/punch to my live
    • only negative i
