To me, this is closer to the Tubescreamer family, as it does better as a clean boost or light overdrive.

It's a good, useful overdrive

It does mild, warm overdrive to a fairly heavy fuzz type drive while maintaining the low end.

If you want warm overdrive then this is a good pedal to get.

This is a great quality overdrive, but quite bassy and you should not buy before trying it with your amp.

For the price it's a good overdrive

With the gain turned up to 10:00, it's a nice warm overdrive

If you want a harder overdrive you can give it some boost with another pedal

However, if you'd like a similar effect with a much more expressive (and brighter) output, try the Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive, or its "clone" companion, the Joyo Sweet Baby Overdrive

It can be a stand alone drive pedal but it is an excellent overdrives

really you hate warm, sustaining, natural-tube overdrive; you won't like it at all

Very nice clean crisp overdrive, the pedals quite light too and has a good range of controls
