Well, first off, the switches on this footpedal are mislabeled

The six switches available are the 3 EQ switches for Low, Mid, and High, a volume level switch, gain drive switch, and a voice (treble) switch

I love the Fuzz alot, the Octave part is fair, I love the mid/normal switch

The pedal is dead simple and the high/low frequency cut is a nice switch to have

It also has a somewhat subtle octave button as well as a bypass switch

I have it at the end of my signal chain to "warm up" my solid state amp

I place my jekyll & hyde overdrive in front of this pedal to boost it, also my ibanez ts-7.I've tried using this pedal as an overdrive with my amps, I used a solid state amp and the blues

Personally, this pedal played with my mustang V solid state amp just make it sound unbelievably good

I get comments about my tone all the time, and most people can't believe I'm using a solid state amp with a chinese made tube modeling pedal

If you are looking to get a good octavix/Octavia type effect in this pedal, you may want to reconsider(MHO)...

I tested the sound with a Yamaha nylon silent guitar, directly plugged into my recording interface, which probably isn't what most people would use, but I hope that the effect is nevertheless easy to gauge by ear as I go through different settings in my video

For the price, this guy puts out a pretty good range of fuzz, and the octave up effect is decent for high and high-mid ranges

Also, these have two capacitors on the PCB which were soldered backwards (their polarities are reversed) and if you take the time to switch them around you'll get a much better effect

The JF-12 fulfilled the purpose with relatively clean boost, decent overdrive, great fuzz, and a reasonable octave generator effect

Look up videos of this before you buy it, if you find that it has the sound that you are looking for by all means buy it it is very well built and well priced

It is extremely well built, and have had zero problems with it during that time

The pedal is very well built and decorated, it is rugged, the pots rotate very smoothly, and the sound is warm and transparent

I have a nice tube amp, but I needed a way to plug in direct to a PA system

My Line 6 Spider has a lot of usable tones but lacks the clean sound of a Fender clean tube amp IMHO

so it takes some tweaking to dial in the desired sound, but I achieved a super clean, rich, full, tube sound

But the nice thing about the Joyo American is that it probably cleans up better than any other other sound pedals.

The important thing is that it works quite well and I am completely satisfied for what it costs

This pedal is a great fender sound for going direct to the board

If you like classic Fender tones, especially cleans, you'll love the Joyo American Sound.

I generally setup the Joyo American pedal for a nice glassy clean "Fender" sound

The pedal does an excellent job at modeling the classic Fender tweeds

Just like having one of the most expensive Fender amps

I used this with my 5 string bass and split the high channel thru to this (using a pair of EQs).

This pedal makes my somewhat lackluster clean channel on a red stripe Peavey Rage respectable for low volume play

It works well as everything from the clean channel (gain all the way down, level all the way up) to about 4 o'clock on the Drive knob

In a nutshell, this pedal played driven on the clean channel sounds more Fender-y and tube-ish than any of the amp's Fender modeling

I use this into the clean channel which I think sounded just fine before.

The overall tone was lacking, I sent this pedal back for a refund.

I was missing the tone I used to get out of some of my older Peavey amps, and this pedal brought it back -- but with a decidely Fender-like sparkle to it

But it does make the clean tone in the crate very tasty

Aside from poor packing job, and power issue, this pedal sucks tone like crazy when the Octave Up is active

I love stacking this on top of the Big Muff Pi to create this massively loud fuzz tone

It perfectly captures the sound of a Fender amplifier when going into a clean amp or directly into a PA.

this thing is freaking awesome its my favorite pedal right now and the price is a steal.

The price is great and I will buying more Joyo effects.

The prices were a lot cheaper at Christmas on all of theses Joyo pedals.

I bought this based on the positive reviews and low price.

The fuzz sounds very good, though, thick and with good sustain

This pedal is perfect for deep heavy fuzz or radical fuzz octave experimental stuff

This low cost pedal is built like a tank and delivers all of the features of much more expensive fuzz pedals.

The octave up setting doesn't sound as bad as the fuzz, however it still leaves something to be desired

I would recommend it to anyone who is a fuzz junkie like me.

I've used it in front of solid-state and tube amps alike, as well as in a direct recording setup, and have been pleased with my tone in every instance

This is the second one ive bought cause i love it so much the switch is a bit unreliable though

Killer Fuzz ,great for harsher tony iommi fuzz and such, but a bit too harsh for certain lighter Gilmour,Jimmy Page esque tones

It helps to give that bit of edge that is missing without an amp

Aggressive/flexible EQ on this guy, although the frequencies it centers on seem a bit odd.
