I like the setting choices, I settled on smart mode and as the heat from my receiver increases you can see the indicator light
I am currently using Smart Mode and set the fan to max out at about 3/4.
I leave it in smart mode at 1/4 power, and it's basically inaudible and provides probably more airflow than the amp would get in free air
I love the intelligent mode where the user can set the fan level and let the system keep the heat under control automatically.

So I did some research and decided to purchase the Aircom S8 to cool the system
The Aircom S8 keeps it cool, and I'm sure will extend it's life for years to come.
I started with one of their metal muffin fans, was so impressed that I bought two of their quiet AC-powered fans (Multifan S series) then took the deep plunge and purchased the AIRCOM S8 to cool my vintage 1977 Kenwood KR-9600 Vintage Receiver.

I have a temp sensor inside the cabinet as well(labeled kitchen as I never changed the name of the sensor) to monitor temp as to not overheat the components

Works wonders to keep the receiver cool as it heats up quite a bit during regular use
Even at the fan speed of two it keeps the receiver cool and is barely audible.
If I'm going to buy something to extend/protect the life of my very expensive receiver, I want to know when a unit that's 1.5" in height and 17" in width that fits over the top of my entire receiver to tell me when a fan or fans have failed.
I don't ever hear the louder fans on high because the loud receiver volume causing the need for the fans to be on high drowns out the fan noise
I throw parties fairly often and my old receiver overheated quite a bit until it died
