    • , i thought that the chassis feet would create enough of a gap between my equipment and the fan unit to produce an airflow that would pull heat from the vent holes covered by the fan chassis into the chassis fans, but that's not what i'm seeing, it seems that the fan unit does a good job pulling heat from what's directly below the fans, but not from the other areas the chassis covers.as such i'm going to have to return all 3 s9 units and instead make do with the ac sp-7 dual fan sets i purchased last summer... from what i can tell they are the same 120mm fans that are used in the s9 unit, but you have the flexibility of placing them exactly where your equipment vent holes are, and of course they don't have a large chassis that will cover other vent holes... also, the s9 auto temp didn't work for me, so i had them set to run all of the time, which is what i get from the sp-7 fan sets as well
