Love the setting functions for the fanUsing this in a commercial application super hot kitchen and it's doing a great job cooling the equipment.
It's simple to use and does an excellent job of cooling my Denon receiver
, i thought that the chassis feet would create enough of a gap between my equipment and the fan unit to produce an airflow that would pull heat from the vent holes covered by the fan chassis into the chassis fans, but that's not what i'm seeing, it seems that the fan unit does a good job pulling heat from what's directly below the fans, but not from the other areas the chassis covers.as such i'm going to have to return all 3 s9 units and instead make do with the ac sp-7 dual fan sets i purchased last summer... from what i can tell they are the same 120mm fans that are used in the s9 unit, but you have the flexibility of placing them exactly where your equipment vent holes are, and of course they don't have a large chassis that will cover other vent holes... also, the s9 auto temp didn't work for me, so i had them set to run all of the time, which is what i get from the sp-7 fan sets as well
The unit was extremely easy to setup and does a remarkably good job of keeping the heat out of the receiver.
Does an excellent job of keeping my components cool that are in my enclosed cabinets
Always on, automatic which kicks on when it detects a certain temperature, and smart mode which I think is the best mode
I am running the fans in smart mode with 50 percent speed and everything is staying cool
This component fan solved that problem and has additional features that I'm thrilled with, such as the "Smart Mode" function which shuts the fans off once the temperature drops to normal

I invested a lot in a vintage stereo receiver and thought I'd help protect my investment with some ventilation even though the receiver is not trapped in a cabinet or bookshelf
Keeping your components cool during usage will definitely benefit your audiofile investment.
Looks like this is just another way to grab some more of your money to protect a serious investment.

You will have more cooling than you might ever need, a quieter intrusion into your HT if in the same room, better equipment protection and one thing less to wonder about while trying to optimize all the rest of it
Thing is really quiet - you don't even hear it running.
This thing works perfectly and now my receiver can run all day long.
Solved my overheating issue Amp would shut down because it became to hot in the cabinet not now the S9 is working and cooling things down
The only thing negative is that when the fan is running at medium and low it really interferes with the FM modulation
This unit is relatively quiet and works great to keep my Marantz 2325 cool in my garage
ad shows a front view of the s9, the unit appears very shallow, not much deeper than the row of fans - i recommend looking at all of the images tho, especially the last one which shows a top view of the unit, the s9 is actually deep enough to accommodate 3 rows of fans, and it's these 2 rows without fans that's a problem when it comes to my
Regardless of the details, this unit keeps my stereo cool!
Slim unit that operates virtually silent, my pc fans are much louder
Love this fan unit, using it on top of my Adcom 200 watt stereo amp
There are cheaper solutions out there, but I'm quite pleased with the performance of this unit.
All-in-all, I'm really happy with both the S7 and the S9 and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an AV cooling solution.
If you have heat issues, or suspect you might, this is a great inexpensive solutions.
We needed an AV cooling solution for our living room entertainment center, which has solid glass front cabinet doors and limited airflow through vented holes in the back
This is truly the simplest and most cost effective solution to cooling components, especially on the shelf or in a cabinet.
Really impressed with this unit ,slim, quiet, and the Smart setting adjusts fan speed automatically
If I decide to try again I will get a corded (no adapter) small boxer fan and lie it horizontally over the heat vents
I took delivery of an AIRCOM S9 cooling fan unit this week.
It may be expensive relative to other fan systems, but once you account for it's computer thermostat controls, and how quiet the fans themselves are, it is worth the price.
This component fan solved that problem and has additional features that I'm thrilled with, such as the "Smart Mode" function which shuts the fans off once the temperature drops to normal
given all of the great reviews i purchased three s9 units for my av equipment, unfortunately when the fans arrived i quickly discovered that the large surface area of the fan chassis, the large surface area that does not actually contain fans, covers far too many vent holes of every piece of

It mentions in the instructions that it needs vent holes in the top and air flow vents from the bottom for "proper" operation.

More about AC Infinity AIRCOM S9, Quiet Cooling Fan System 17" Top-Exhaust Receivers, Amps, DVR, AV Cabinet Components
Overview A quiet cooling fan system designed to be placed on top of AV components such as receivers, amplifiers, and DVRs
Maintaining an optimal temperature for components prevents overheating, ensures constant performance, and extends their lifespan
The controller on the front of the cooling system features a smart thermostat trigger and fan speed control
The steel enclosure houses three dual-ball bearing fans that pulls heat out of the component and exhausts upwards
Its low-profile design enables the unit to fit in tight spaces
Includes corded power adapter to plug the fan system through an outlet
Intelligent Programming There are three programming settings available which includes two temperature trigger modes
The fans can also be set to run continuously or be turned off
Four fan speeds are available for each active mode and will determine the speed at which the fans run when they are triggered
This ensures optimal airflow and noise levels for your application
Design and Construction Each system features dual-ball bearing fans rated at 67,000 hours and are certified by CE and RoHS
Fans contain a PWM-controlled motor used to minimize noise during speed variations and are suspended in mid-air with silicone mounts to absorb vibrations
A low-profile design allows the unit to fit in applications with a limited height clearance
Aluminum and steel construction enables additional components up to 30 pounds to be stacked on top.
