There’s still a small gap but now the fans will pull almost all the air through the component the Aircom is cooling
Standing right next to it, I had a moment of worry that the unit was broken as I couldn't hear it when I plugged it in.
The AIRCOM T9 does work and it works really well... amazingly so
In the typical media center you stack all the devices and the heat really builds up, the Aircom T9 is awesome in that it tells you exactly what its seeing in terms of temps and switches on and off and as necessary in the Smart Mode.
The top venting AC Infinity AIRCOM T9 seems to work better then the T8 I think because of the larger fans more

and I needed the unit to correct an issue with my receiver over heating.
The outer amazon box was ok but the internal box that houses the unit was severely dented, like it was dropped BEFORE being shipped out by amazon
I purchased this model because it is quieter, and moves a greater volume of air, compared to their front or rear venting cooling units.
After burning up 2 very expensive audio video receivers!The unit is perfect fit for my cooling needs, I do like thermostat controlled as well as the multiple fan speeds!
The T9 cooling unit works superbly and is so quiet, that when the indicators are "blacked out", I cannot tell if it is even operating

This is a vast improvement over the 40 degrees F above ambient I was measuring at the heat sink
Sitting out in the room, with an ambient air temperature of about 79 degrees F, the amp's heat sinks were measuring around 120 degrees F. Hot to the touch
but the I don't think it will have quite the same benefit as the heat sinks are massive in comparison to the Denon 6300
