    • Battery saver mode will extend battery life a lot, but don't expect to game for more than a couple hours on battery
    • No dead battery in the morning !
    • Just unplug the charger and wait 5-10 minutes to cool the battery and it will start
    • This unit is a great compromise between powerful CPU and GPU with good battery life.
    • Obviously if you try playing Overwatch or Assassins Creed the battery will drain super fast
    • - Acer claims that's for better battery
    • Perfect IPS screen, battery, good backlit keyboard
    • Great battery life, a matte screen (non-glossy) full HD, an SSD vs the HDD drive, and a backlit keyboard.
    • The main sticking points of this review is, the battery is not easily accessible and you have to unscrew the hard drive before taking off the back of the laptop
    • It has reasonable battery life, the biggest downside is that it's not on the slim side, it's rather bulky and has it's good weight
    • : My machine is pretty new, but at least for now this has a pretty awesome battery life
    • Very good battery autonomy
    • The battery is dead and the laptop was brand new
    • Good battery power, stronger processor than a core i3, SSD, fast booting
    • Lastly, the battery is not user accessible , leading to costly repairs down the road
    • The battery is the issue
    • If you want good battery life, moderately-priced, dGPU (that you can turn off!), that COMES with an SSD, expandable memory and storage AND has USB-C, a CD/DVD drive, a VGA output, a Kensington lock, 3 USB ports, an ethernet port, a headphone jack, and an HDMI output, then this is the perfect laptop for you!
    • Nice fast, excellent battery life.
    • Pros: - separate video card (with GDDR5 ram) - easily replaceable battery
    • Very fast ssd for a budget laptop, decent IPS screen, good battery life, and most importantly great performance
    • The battery is holding up well
    • Also it doesn't take long before the battery is completely dead
    • I agree with other reviews how this computer has good battery life and performance, but be aware it can have defects and if you do decide to buy (but maybe don't as i am sure there are better deals for laptops) keep a close eye.
    • So again, the battery is surprisingly great, and way better than what any other laptop like this was offering
    • Currently having issues with the laptop need to have it looked at or returned appears as though it's a bad battery and not holding a charge
    • Pros:-Decent battery life if you're just pudding around online
    • Very good performance with decent battery life.
    • Plays most games in 1080p.-ddr4 ram that is upgradable.-IPS full HD screen.-Very decent battery life

    • The battery is pretty good too
    • I spent the first two days conditioning the battery as the instructions said to do (completely charging and draining it three times) before going any further, and it appeared to have exceptional battery life.
    • You're getting a decent low power CPU, 2 GBs of dedicated graphics, a decent sized SSD, a full HD screen, 8 GBs of ram, and an incredible battery life for just $599.99
    • (In battery saver mode) Not a lot of bloat ware. decent speakers
    • I reset the battery and it works fine for a couple of weeks and then the same thing happens.
    • I don't need fancy, but I needed speed, stupid proof, a back lit keyboard, a couple of USBs, and decent battery life
    • This computer is fast, reliable, and has a great battery life
    • This laptop's battery is ONLY accessible if you take off all the screws and open the entire laptop
    • (though I would really appreciate a glass trackpad), good IO, nice battery and excellent internals
    • I am getting amazing battery life.
    • well I've played so far, has excellent battery life, awesome screen
    • this battery is very good last 8 to ten hours (med to heavy use) big difference then 2 hours max on last laptop – upgrade?Power options:This generation of laptop has a very good battery, I have hear some reviews say laptop shuts down while on battery away from your computer
    • Fast, good battery time.
    • a gaming laptop and the i5-8250U does allow for a better battery life but it is a tad disappointing that even some older games' performance will be limited by the CPU.2
    • good performance with solid battery life.
    • I've also discovered that the battery is better than I first thought, and will last 8 hours for light-duty activities such as web-surfing and word processing; longer with power management on.
    • I don't think it's Acers fault as i see a lot of problems online with Windows 10 updates for version 1803 and i tried at least 5 fixes for this
    • It works as smooth and fast as the day I bought it, and now I have loaded with apps and programs.
    • So I took off 1 star for not having a feature that allows me to extend the time and another for Acer's inability to update their machines with this simple but useful feature, as well as for not making this limitation explicit in their documentation.
    • I've been operating computers for a long time - nearly 25 years, so I'm somewhat dubious as to the bells and whistles that the manufacturers of a computer puts out.
    • I took literally 5 minutes and dropped a 1T hard drive in the empty drive bay and someday, perhaps, I'll drop another 8 meg of RAM into the empty slot.
    • I took literally 5 minutes and dropped a 1T hard drive in the empty drive bay and someday, perhaps, I'll drop another 8 meg of RAM into the empty slot.
    • Other than the drive, the bottom feels super plastic-y and cheap, and so does the optical drive.
