• Reviews around backlight (2.69 of 5)

Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz 27" WQHD (2560x1440) NVIDIA G-SYNC IPS Display, (Display Port & HDMI Port, 144Hz)

    • Like many others, I experienced horrible backlight bleeding from the PG27, twice (Manufactured January 2016)
    • can't say enough.now for the most important stuff... backlight bleeding
    • Bad backlight bleed in bottom right corner
    • Mine looks almost perfect with no dead or stuck pixels and very minimal backlight bleed around the edges
    • No dead pixels, no crazy bad backlighting
    • The very first thing I noticed when I turned it on was that the backlighting was a lot stronger on the right hand side of the monitor than it was on the left
    • I'll just cut to the chase, the bottom right corner has a terrible backlight bleed, the other corners seem fine though
    • i bought one from ebay before this one and it had 2 dead pixels and bad backlight
    • 7.5/10Pros: all of the aboveCons: strong backlight bleed on corners
    • Your problems will arise from one of the following circumstances:-Dead pixels-Poor screen uniformity (dirty screen effect/darker in areas of the panel where it shouldn't be)-Strong backlight bleeding (not IPS glow)-Yellow tint on screen-Graphical glitching and flashing-Color
    • It does have some yellow backlight bleed/glow in the right bottom corner, but as far as the monitor lottery is going this might be a keeper
    • but I would recommend this monitor as of now.
    • Couple things to note is the stand legs are not as bright as in the picture, it is a more fitting darker red
    • I had contemplated and researched 4K as well as the Acer 34 inch predator, however I did not want to play the monitor lottery with the Acer 34in predator and not have a guaranteed 100Hz over clock or the scan line issues that have plaguing the 34 in gsync monitors
    • I would highly recommend this Monitor to anyone looking for that sweet spot in gaming, 2K res and 144hz.
    • I have my colors a bit exaggerated as I like colors to pop in games and movies
    • The 165Hz overclock as well as G-Sync really makes a difference in games because it is immediately noticeable.
    • Being an Acer product, and nVidia G-Sync ready, I figured I'd try it out
    • the viewing angles, the g-sync, lack of any dead pixels, and the excellent base
    • ugh). One G-Sync issue (or maybe just confusion on my part) is that I've set v-sync off in the control panel, but it keeps re-enabling itself somehow
    • No dead pixels, no yellow color back-light bleed on the corners, and oddly seems as though it performs better than the other one (I was starting to have spotty G-sync performance, but that could also easily be my aging video card - time will tell).I've also managed to balance out the colors between the two monitors, and they're just about identical now.
    • R Gain: 97G Gain: 97B Gain
    • The g-sync with my gtx960 (soon a 980ti) works flawlessly and I can definitely feel the difference going from 60hz to 144+hz, and I can safely say I will never be going back
    • Had issues getting G-SYNC to work, and Acer response was basically "replace your $4000 computer with dual 980s, the monitor could not be at fault".
    • Clocking at 165Ghz and buttery ultra smooth with G-sync that really smooths out game play
    • n’t recommend buying it specially when you have problem with ur eyes or wearing a glass save you cash guys
