The displays are better in person than they look here.

This is the 3rd Weather Station I've bought, cool looking design will have your neighbors looking, very accurate displays, it last about 5 yrs with strong sun damage outdoors and the occasional typhoon on Island, love the wind direction and speed in easy to read display.

I would say the inside device color display needs to be displayed at the right height or hung on a wall.

The photo shown here is a little deceptive as its not a true color display, but instead is regular black LCD with a color background, which isn't such a big issue, just wanted it to be clear.

Awesome display; all the info I need as a causal weather observer.

The bad temp readings (even the inside temp readings were 1 -2 degree hotter than other thermometers I have, including a mercury gauge) would also cause me to send it back, but the display (on any brightness setting) was unacceptable.

I love this WeatherStation it seems to be very accurate, I checked with my local WeatherStation cannot asked for a better display, an a better unit for the price.

Easy setup, good amount of information, I haven't found a way to dim display, at night it lights up room.

I have a huge thing installed on my roof, I have a display unit that works, but I can't ever sync this with my computer or have access to my data.

The AcuRite station was much, much easier to set up and way less expensive, has a more colorful display, and essentially provides the same information as the Davis station did.

This is my second AcuRite 5-in-1 weather station and I much prefer the display on this one over my older color display because the information is displayed in a more useful manner, particularly the lower center area

Just be sure that the nail or screw on which you hang the display will handle the weight.

At night we cover the display with a dark cloth; annoying but livable

I would recommend the black and white display

The display is relatively attractive: it doesn’t do a lot, mind you, but it will give you the basic weather facts (including temperature, humidity, dew point, wind speed, wind chill, rainfall amount, and status of the moon), some stats over time (e.g., highest temperature over the past seven days), and after a few days, it will start giving you basic forecasts (“light rain expected”).

I would like a setting to dim the display even further, or turn it off at night.

When it bit the dust we bought the new version and like it even better; I'm sucker for the colorful display.

I put a screw with a screw anchor in the wall (after testing to make sure the screw head was the right size for the hanging slot in the back of the display), and hung the display on it
