Excellent weather station with one major flaw: it does not record the high and low temp for the day... all kinds of other records memorized, but not each day's high and low temps

The only thing it is missing is a warning sound when bad weather is indicated.

I have since bought a Ambient Weather WS-2902 for my father and it has been working great in Kitty Hawk, NC weather.

As the unit requires two weeks to complete its "learning", becoming familiar with your altitude, and general environment, it will not provide detailed and site accurate weather reporting until this period is completed

It did all I expected from a relatively inexpensive weather station.

But if you have a weather station that won't work in wet weather - even though it is placed 15 feet from the inside unit and 15' off the ground with a direct site line - what good is it?

I have had other weather stations that have crapped out after a year or so, but this one keep going

Having an LCD display of the current weather conditions as well as the local forecast is very nice, and rounds out a cost effective weather station.

Although the above issues are important, for the price this remains a decent weather station.

The AcuRite units are decent, low cost weather stations, where the main problem is with the aspirator fan and solar panel that powers the fan
