(the instructions provide a little more detail on how to get the best result).
I believe I would get the same great result, the key is after you adhere your patch YOU MUST put something some what heavy on the affected area to really secure that sucker on there
The product is fantastic for this purpose but you need to put in effort to get a nice result
The Vinyl Repair Kit was easy to use and I achieved very good results.
These definitely don't provide a like new look, but seem to work well and the result is better than I expected.*UPDATE
The area was cleaned very well with alcohol and the patch covered the 3”x4” area well.
No messy glue, we just cleaned the tear area with alcohol and applied the patch
For those of you, like me, who were lost as to how to fix this at first, here's how I did it:I cut the tear-aid strip in half
I cut away the curled areas of the patch, cleaned and again applied the product to the area and again the patch began to peel away after a couple of weeks
Lastly, when that was dry, I cleaned the area again (with the same wipe
Its deceptive advertising, if you are going to say 1 kit and show 2 boxes you should get 2 boxes, didn't even try the product but if this is the way they want to
Used this to keep the plug from coming out of a not-too-well-made yoga ball

Do not buy this product for anything but very hard vinyl products!UPDATEAfter contacting the company and explaining the situation, they refunded my money
Bought to repair tears on my 2001 Mazda Miata vinyl soft top

Bought to patch a kitty made hole in a very nice air bed
When I slept on the patched mattress for the first time, the mattress lost some air by morning, and I was afraid that the patch had not fixed the leak
Air still leaked out and the air mattress deflated even with the patch on.
Used some of this Tear-Aid over five years ago on a tent that had many tears and abrasions (stake down your tent when air drying it in your yard so it doesn't blow away and slide down the asphalt street upside-down!)
I had to keep an eye on it to make sure it didn't leak air.
