    • I think the lesson here is if you’re wanting a rich thick bass signature out of these phones then you’re going to have to be listening on a dedicated device like a DAC or Audio Interface and not a phone/tablet
    • Better bass in the M50s too, but not overly boosted like Beats headphones
    • Great bass response without sounding flat or muffled.
    • As a side note, the best bass response I've heard on headphones (after correction) is that offered by the Audio Technica ATH-M50x
    • Clear sounds, crisp trebles, moderate bass, light & comfortable, limited noise isolation (semi-open so to be expected)
    • I personally prefer to leave my music source flat and I don't like using bass boost, but I want to hear natural sounding clear and sufficiently loud bass

    • The highs are clear and the bass is solid

    • It produces accurate, crystal clear mids and highs, and its bass is powerful yet non-distorted
    • They still pack a formidable punch with great highs, clean mids and a tight though underwhelming bass.
    • These have brilliant highs, an excellent mid range and bass is not lacking
    • Any attempt to boost the bass will result in fluttering sounds of driver excursion
    • No bass boosting or extra crystal in the highs
    • I simply hate these phones with intensely heavy bass (DR.Dre like) piercing your ear
    • The 100-Hz boost is probably why some feel like they have more bass they really do.
    • It produces accurate, crystal clear mids and highs, and its bass is powerful yet non-distorted
    • The bass is a little weak compaired to most closed backs
    • The bass is a bit weak, but everything seems balanced
    • Has great bass

    • very clear sound but no bass
    • Speaking of which, you'd have to be a total BASS-HEAD to say that these babies don't put out enough bass
    • On my phone the bass feels to weak, and everything sounds a bit flat, but when amped properly or even through a computers sound card, they come alive and the sound becomes more dynamic and fun.
    • The bass is there too, nice and round, not too overpowering to create distortion which is good
    • Intially I thought the bass was lacking, but I find it is actually just more true to what it really sounds like
    • Good full bass, without being sloppy
    • The bass is shy and the highs rather harsh, but its still a good entry level headphone for less than $100.
    • The bass is good, the low end drops off a bit and there's a slight mid-bass hump, but it feels clean, punchy, and taut otherwise
    • these are studio headphones and are made to be flat unlike other headphones who have been made to have ridiculous bass or other things increased I'll start off with balanceBalance
    • These headphones lack clarity, they have no bass, and are extremely overpriced.
    • I am a fairly critical listener with young ears; I like that there isn't excessive bass
    • At first the bass was a tad muddy, but a half hour of play time cleaned that up

    • The sound is good, the bass is good but after some hours of use you may start up feeling the pads on your ears not so comfy
    • From low freq-high freq these sound great w/good bass response as well
    • Now if you're looking for super loud, low thumping bass to crank up some dubstep while you're working out in the gym you're looking in the wrong place (go buy some Beats for chrissakes!
    • Got these as a throw around pair for home, and even though the bass definitely could be better and the material on the ear cushions does make you notice perspiration around the ear
    • I admit that I was expecting more low bass due to the semi-open design as opposed to a pair of open design headphones I use
    • Quality build just lacking enough bass
    • Meaning some music can feel like something's lacking when making the transition, but the fidelity of the phone brings the bass into a good contrast of the whole sound profile.
    • Good bass without thumping, really good clarity
    • However, if you are looking for comfortable headphones with depth, great bass, and overall epic sound, these are definitely for you
    • They're cheap (under the equivalent of US$10 when on sale), have amazing bass response, and excellent clarity and detail when equalized with a linear slope of boost starting around 880khz and ending at +10db at

    • The sound reproduction is excellent, with clear bass and midrange and a very balanced profile through the entire frequency spectrum
    • Good detail, very clear highs, Awesome bass
    • They have less fidelity in the higher frequency range than the K240's, but have much better bass response
    • Bass is big and brooding, but the highs lack the snap that the AKGs had.
    • This headphone has a mediocre bass response
    • The sound is great, but I believe some more bass would have made these headphones perfect
    • not much bass, its simple quite great
    • Burning in provides a better bass response over time and it supposedly tightens out with the aid of an amp
    • The bass and seperation sounds fantastic.
    • At first the bass was a tad muddy, but a half hour of play time cleaned that up
    • Bought from bhphotovideo,Pros: Light, Clear clean sound, nice bass with decent punch, superb mids, non-fatiguing highs, detachable cable
    • the Sony MDR 7506 are not the answer: they have NO BASS, very tinny, and the ear pads will rot within months whether you use them or not.
    • These have less bass than the Senns, but the bass it does have sounds much clearer and not as muddy
    • You can really hear all the ranges and for my taste, the bass is just right
    • I just wish it had a better bass sound and power.
    • The bass is nice warm and clear if a little flat
    • The bass is horrible at all volume levels
    • If you like bass in your music with these types of headphones I recommend buying a cmoy BB amp(BB=bass boost)
    • In fact, the extra clarity allowed me to run some marginal recordings through some cleaning software and upgrade them to virtually perfect quality, thus saving some favorite scarce titles.(*=NOTE: People who are used to, or who prefer, headphones and speakers that boost bass sounds heavily for hard-rock or other bass-beat-centered music may find this different, or even unsuitable to their taste in music.
    • You are not going to get super bass from these like you would from a pair of Beats (thats a good thing in my opinion) but its plenty responsive to lows as well as the full range
    • Unless you're looking for really bass heavy/bass boosting headphones you won't be disappointed.
    • I would like to note that the bass isnt as loud as i would like but even that doesnt compromise how much I like them
    • The bass is not great, and neither is the volume or ambient noise isolation (due to the open ear design), but if you're buying these, you're not looking for cheap, commercial sound.
    • When I 1st listened to them it sounded like the bass was replaced with treble, it was an indescribable experience and was horrible
    • The highs are very lush and sparkly and the bass is just right
    • People who are mixing or editing sound prefer "accurate" but many music listeners prefer the accentuated bass.
    • Great bass range as well.
    • HOWEVER the bass is very clear
    • So contrary to the opinions of music elitists who frown at "bassheads" and the bass heavy products, we really do need good bass reproduction for all sorts of music.
    • They have bass, but it doesn't drown out the rest of the music, even on an insanely bass-heavy album like 21 Savage & Offset's "Without Warning
    • I guess you get what you paid for ... very cheap product .. bass is too weak
    • Really nice price and really good sound - very natural, with accurate response for all frequencies; Warm and live bass without any trace of the "anabolic-steroid-like" bass, produced by cans like "Beats" or "V-Moda
    • The bass may be lacking for some, but that's what happens when you get contamited by all the beats crap that it's out there
    • I find them to have MORE than adequate bass, and it's nice tight accurate bass not the sloppy boomy kind that teenagers are generally used to and have blaring out of their cheesy car subwoofers
    • The bass is really good, I gave it the runthrough with some dubba johnny, Queen, and
    • I'd say these have amazing balance; the bass is perfect, mids are just as they should be, and highs are not piercing but are perfectly blended in to the texture
    • Not enough bass and not quick enough "punch" type response
    • These headphones are a great deal- strong but not overpowering bass (unless EQ'd), very responsive mids and sparkly highs
    • Bass is amazing, without being overpowering
    • Switching over to a song I know has a lot of highs as well as
    • They don't fit quite as snug as I'd like, but they are secure on my head
    • but yea in all, the sound is amazing but not that loud by themselves, the cable dosnt bug me as
    • I was really looking forward to enjoying them as it was my first AKG purchase, and after seeing the great reviews, I couldn't wait
    • They are used recreationally as well as in a studio setting
