The bass, drums, and guitar are all very present but the singer's voice is a bit more subdued and strained than with other
-
Replaceable/Upgradable earpadsCons- Self-adjusting fit is a bit finicky- Semi-open design can bleed quite a bit of noise into your surroundingsBottom line: This is a fantastic set of cans for a ridiculously low price.
-
The mid-range is probably it best strength and the treble may be a slight bit bright.
-
Compared to the MDR 7506 (closed headphones, but similarly priced) these AKGs have crisper and more musical highs but the bass lacks a bit
-
they are a bit quieter
-
Also I can listen to music for hours and hours on them because they are so non-fatiguing: marvelously balanced and even have a slight treble roll-off, which is fine for someone getting on in years like me who's probably already lost a bit of the higher frequency hearing (above 15KHz).
-
The fit sitting on my head is just a bit looser than I would like; I wish it were just a bit tighter for a more secure feel
-
can get.-Volume is a little too low for my taste-Really long regular (non-coiled) wire can be a bit of a nuisanceVery comfortable, much more comfortable than my previous pair
-
Awesome sounding headphones, however they leak a bit too much, but the sound quality is good
-
Noise leaks out quite a bit though and they feel pretty loose on my head
-
They also, because they are Semi-Open, leak a good bit of noise.
-
Great price--Replaceable wireCons:--A bit tricky to take somewhere, but these headphones are more for home use
-
I have used the older K240 headphones for years and they are workhorses but they need a good bit of juice to sound goo and my iPhone just couldn't drive them properly
-
The ear pads are made of some sort of vinyl so it gets a bit uncomfortable after a while but nothing to really worry about
-
The suspension may 'feel' a bit insecure at first, and the pads may wiggle a bit if you shake your head really hard
-
They also, because they are Semi-Open, leak a good bit of noise.
-
Enhances your mixes a bit but they're still useful (most other people arent listening to music through monitors
-
They have a fair bit of detail during dynamic passages but when things get quiet, they won't allow you to pick out every little inflection in the recording.
-
Also the ear cups are round and can be a bit uncomfortable for those with large (non-round) ears.
-
While it's a bit odd for headphones that sound this good to be so light initially, it's actually quite nice and allows for extended listening without discomfort
-
The cord split a bit, but I taped it up.
-
They do leak quite a bit of sound, so if you want to be able to use them in the library or at night with people sleeping they're not ideal
-
A bit loose for my
-
Every bit of praise from others is correct
-
As a result, if you are a bass-head, you'll probably think these are a bit weak
-
They isolate a bit more than I'd like, but the reviews suggest that they're still as reliable as they were twenty years ago
-
great feel, great sound, although i wish they were a little bit louder bass wise everything else works out great!
-
It might be a bit difficult to find a cable for them though, as instead of a normal aux cord, these have a 35mm plug on one end and a mini XLR on the other that plugs into the headphones
-
The cable on the k240's does seem a bit thin and flimsy, by the way, so if you can embrace the extra cash and hideous color scheme of the MK
-
The AKG K619s sounded better than the Status headphones which were a bit too shrill.
-
I have been using earbuds for a while between headphones and at first the presence of bass from these phones sounded a bit muddy to my ears
-
The new ones are not as crisp in the highs, the low midrange dominates a bit too much, causing a murky low end, and I actually had a bass note break up in one channel while playing an L.P. at moderately high volume
-
They are every bit as good as they used to be
-
, sound bleeds out quite a bit.
-
although they are this durable i still like to take care of
