With my old headphones I was always concerned about them snapping on me, but these have a much more comfortable and robust design and construction
-
I seriously love the headband design
-
The design is not flashy, yet sleek at the
-
Great sound, great design
-
Plus the semi-open design gives you decent isolation without cutting you off from the world
-
I love the design with the gold rings.
-
Like a lot of AKGs, the physical design is weird, and you'll probably either love it or hate it
-
Sennheiser hd 598 great design and very comfortable but not so great soundPioneer hdj 2000 great headphones but lot of bassSony mdr X10
-
I also enjoy the semi-open design of the headphones, I can hear my roommate if he is talking to me without having to take them off
-
Flashy design, but over all just a cheap product and disappointing.
-
They sound great and are very well designed
-
but again, not as loud as something designed for a portable device
-
I admit that I was expecting more low bass due to the semi-open design as opposed to a pair of open design headphones I use
-
You could pay more for sleeker design and more refined materials
-
Amazing design powerful bass but recessed mids and highsSennheiser momentum: very nice design but was disappointed with sound qualityBeyerdynamic dt880 pro: very nice design and comfortable but too much bassThese were some of headphones in my

Excellent overall quality build and design.

Like a lot of AKGs, the physical design is weird, and you'll probably either love it or hate it

It's a stronger fit than other headphones I've used with removable wires, but also a slightly confusing design choice
-
The classic AKG design was found everywhere- radio stations, studios, on location, at home
-
The open-back design is inappropriate for recording (they are not marketed for that purpose), as sound can bleed into microphones
-
I love AKG and the design they have for the head band, every big headphone should have this band
-
its not that bad.. not sure how the other expensive ones sound but its not the worst.. for over $70 though, you expect a little more.. design is really excellent otherwise..
-
I worked professionally developing audio, PC and other electronic equipment for over 25 years, designed many such devices, and have used headphones fairly extensively for over 30 years.
-
though.-Design is nice and these don't look as ridiculous on one's head as a lot of studios can
-
They appeared well designed and made
-
First off they are semi-open which is usually my favorite design.
-
The whole design makes these headphones flexible, so if you like to DJ and/or produce music using one
-
Wish they would make professional mixing headphones in different sizing, because it seems like they are all designed for large man heads and never for petite ladies.
-
but AKG should have designed ear pads which don't crack because people are wearing them a lot
-
Good design.
-
Like reference monitors, reference headphones are designed to output "true" sound, without added sweetening, bass, midrange, etc.
-
although they are this durable i still like to take care of
