Nice wide sound, and not nearly as "colored" as some pricier head phones.
-
Great phones
-
I have had high end heads phones well over 1k and these make me feel bad about spending so much money on those.
-
I am NOT a bass freak so these phones are great as the bass is there, but is tight and accurate
-
Was rated as good as phones much more expensive
-
Turns out I was way off base as these are really solid phones
-
Great phones and enjoy!
-
Those phones were flat just on the edge of tin like and overall a massive disappointment
-
I would buy them again in a heartbeat and they've become my current preferred phones
-
These are supremely accurate phones; they reproduce just what was recorded.
-
Awesome SoundsI had no idea before I used these the difference in a quality brand product compared to other cheap head phones I have used.retails for $99.Great Price here
-
but i know these phones are great
-
Very good phone!!
-
These are the best head-phones.
-
I simply hate these phones with intensely heavy bass (DR.Dre like) piercing your ear
-
I would recommend these phones to anyone, especially if using an ipod or any other low power audio device.
-
My favorite phones
-
Don't waste you money on more expensive head phones because I doubt there will be a significant improvement in sound.
-
The last “cheap AKG” phones I’ve had any experience with were the K70
-
For me they are the best phones I have ever owned.
-
they are killer phones!!
-
crank my amp up 6-8 and the phones are clear as a bell.
-
but when your use to great quality head phones you will be disappointed
-
Quality phones, great for mixing & any studio work; I can even hear specific sounds in good recordings from some of my favorite artist, although I listen at 192000hz.
-
Note: while this work ok being driven by a low-power device (eg smart-phone) due to their impedance they will sound better with more amplification
-
I prefer close backed phones like the Sony 7506 or Audio Technica M50s for tracking or live recording, but for editing and mixing, the K-240S, with its slightly less-colored response curve, remains my first choice.
-
We needed durable phones with excellent flat response low to high, which closely matched studio outputs.
-
That might not mean much but these phones were in the running with a few other great phones and where they were made was the tie breaker for me
-
After reading some Audiophile forums, I found that its good to "break in" your head phones by just letting them play music at a medium level for a few hours
-
Good phones
-
These phones are great
-
These are accurate phones for people who want to hear what they are listening to.
-
Great phones very accurate
-
Very good 'phones at a competitive price.
-
They trap a small amount of moisture around the ears, that some more expensive head phones with velour wouldn't
-
Overall I love these head phones
-
The best head phones I have ever owned....all my music..+20gigs...MAKES YOUR MUSIC SOUND BETTER
-
I was looking for a set of very accurate phones with a nice warm sound as well
-
The K702s are very nice phones of course , clean sound and very detailed
-
A very well balanced phone
-
As others have stated, these are very "neutral" phones, if you're looking for a particularly warm or bass heavy phone these aren't for you
-
AKG K240's are the best head phones for a person starting to get in to HD audio and audiophilia
