AKG K702 Reference Class Studio Headphones

    • No bumpy headband either
    • Aside from my suspicion about them being made in China and the uncomfortable headbands, they are good headphones.
    • The headband gets uncomfortable quicklyOpen-air Cons:- You can hear everything around you right through them, so you turn up the volume- People in the area then complain that your headphones are too loud for them to
    • The headband for the akg 702 as most noted is very uncomfortable.
    • The adhesive holding on the earpads liquified and ruined the pads and headband
    • That would probably be uncomfortable since these do have a bit of clamping pressure, but nothing compared to my Audio Technica AD2000X's, which are all clamp and no headband (extremely uncomfortable!)
    • The HDJ-2000 was more comfortable because of the plush headbands and pads.
    • While the headband can be fatiguing after extended periods, these headphones are no slouches for 250 dollars
    • And for me the headband wasn't as comfortable as could be, in my experience
    • fantastic flat sound ,real monitor sound, very smooth very wide sound , detail is amazing ,but very cheap flimsy plastic made, broke headband in lots of places in 1
    • That isn't to say it doesn't do a great job of presenting rock, pop, reggae and simpler folk as well as it is certainly pleasant, can't understand why some people complying about the bass as I find it enough and not over doing it like some other headphones
    • Not as neutral as I'd like, bright but not tinny
    • I am not expert but can say that the sound is exactly what i wanted - absolutely transparent reproduction of the source as crisp and clean as it can be
    • If you crank the volume up, you won't annoy anyone around you as the leakage is minimal
    • These really need a high quality amp to shine as they are power hungry.
