The seat is soft but firm

if I lean back in it my back hits the plastic, also the height adjustment of the back rest doesn't lock in place 90% of the the time and the seats height adjustment is very limited, if you like a low seat this is not the one for you.

I'm a bit larger in size, and require softer and wider seats

In addition, this chair did not assemble well, the seat was definitely not correct and couldn't be properly adjusted.
