I thought maybe too much blue light, so I used the "eye comfort" color profile that makes the screen yellowish and removed a lot of the blue light, still eye strain

34" 21:9 3440x1440 IPS 100Hz G-SYNC Eye Care Gaming Monitor (5ms response time) because it is an IPS type panel with beautiful color rendering (whereas the PG27VQ is a TN type panel).

The alienware (yes, I know, manf. by Dell) while being a lower resolution that what was in store definitely looked much nicer in terms of color reproduction and overall clarity

The colors looked good, and 240 Hz is awesome... but my 240 Hz experience was ruined by little 10 frame stutters at high FPS that would happen about once per second

The monitor looks amazing right out of the box: a very bright screen with vivid colors and dark blacks, and it really is one of the nicer TN panels I've seen

My new monitor seems to be working well and has great resolution and vibrant colors.

I set custom color profile and left R and G channels at 100 and drained blue to 50, still eye strain
