Maybe deserves a 4.5 stars as the handle gets quite hot as does the whistle mechanism and that is difficult to flip open with my pot holder

The handle does not get too hot to pick up

Also, the whistle top does not seat very well, so the whistle is not loud with a lot of steam blowing around the top

Plus the teapot does not whistle when water is boiling

It fits perfectly above an element on my stove top, so the handle does not get hot.

This All Clad finally does not rust and is ideal for daily use

This does look like a design problem where the spout and whistle top are oval rather than round and the whistle part can get stuck in the oval top and not seal at all
