Amazon Tap - Alexa-Enabled Portable Bluetooth Speaker

    • it's portable many fun features as we learn more
    • I used it frequently as a music speaker, but quickly appreciated all the features that Alexa possessed
    • Plus some of the cooler features (like voice to text and a few others) aren’t enabled on the Tap
    • I like that I can disable the tap feature so it follows voice commands without contact.
    • But still are missing key features
    • Great speaker and it has A FEW other cool features with Alexa.
    • The best features are that it is portable and the sound quality is superb!!!
    • It will sound better, have a better mic, and support all Echo features
    • It’s deceptively advertised like an echo device but lacks the cool features like Multi-Room Music.
    • It also is missing many features that the Echo products get like multi room audio
    • Misses half the useful Alexa features like calling.
    • However, it is missing the features of the Echo like dropping in
    • Works great especially with new hands free feature
    • Well, the Tap lacks two important features that were rolled out to the Echo, Dot and Show over the Summer.
    • Since she's always listening, this would be an amazing feature to have
    • For whatever reason, the “genius developers” at amazon decided this wasn’t an important feature in a portable speaker.
    • Missing the best feature, Music groups
    • Nice features but it shouts at you when it connects, turns off or any action user does not specify.
    • Love the portability feature of the Tap
    • It's a fun little doodad with lots of helpful features I'm still learning.
    • I got the tap after the hands free feature was added and I love it.
    • Controls on the top are a nice feature and have a good feel
    • Portability without pluging into power is its top feature
    • The best feature of the Alexa tap is that it is portable
    • Well, the Tap lacks two important features that were rolled out to the Echo, Dot and Show over the Summer.
    • For what I paid for the Tap (and it was even at a discount), that it doesn't even have the features of the much cheaper Dot is disappointing
    • It seems like a handful of useful features on the Dot don't make it to the Tap
    • But turns out, Amazon disabled features
    • Oh and the mobile feature is just a bonus.
    • Will update if the device gains these features.
    • The portability is a desirable feature
    • This would be an awesome feature to have
    • Misses half the useful Alexa features like calling.
    • Tone controls would be a terrific feature to have because the fidelity is poor at best.
    • It’s deceptively advertised like an echo device but lacks the cool features like Multi-Room Music.
    • The tap is a nice device in some ways, but does not support full features of other, even older devices.
    • Now it's just cheap enough to consider keeping as a very barebones Echo with portable speaker that's sounds better than a Dot and has a very convenient charging cradle, the one really nice feature.
    • Ability to synch music across multiple units is a nice feature
    • The features are awesome
    • I do like the portable, battery supply feature.
    • I am actually sad to have to send it back but hate that they have decided to needlessly limit this killer feature.
    • All my Alexa devices work well but really found the portability of the tap to be a great feature.
    • Even then it does not support many of the smart features that the other echo products do
    • My mother loves listening to music and all the wonderful features Alexa has to offer
    • There is no reason that any feature available on the echo should be restricted from being added to the Tap.
    • Best feature is the wireless charger and ability to just pick it up an move it to another room
    • I like having the Alexa feature on a portable speaker
    • Otherwise I like it, but was planning to use it as another speaker in addition to the portable features.
    • So I like to charge my BT speaker on my nightstand, and if I accidentally forget to turn off the Tap, it and the Echo seem to get confused as to which device should handle the request
    • After a lengthy conversation, I suspected a
    • The sound is great on the Tap as good as it is on the Alexa tower
    • Controls are not as intuitive as with the other Echo devices and can’t use it without WiFi at all, so that’s a bummer, but nice to use out by the pool.
    • and it's useless for the intercom function, which sucks as we could have really used that
    • Not as good as the original but will do in a pinch, still trying to figure out why it keeps losing connection wifi and/or bluetooth
    • I love that I can take it all over the house (upstairs and down) as well as in the
    • n’t feel like cheap plastic that it would be great sound
    • This speaker does not sound as crisp as other B/T speakers that I have acquired --- It does, however, put out a most pleasant, warm sound --- especially when playing ethereal new age music, which is my favorite genre
    • n’t like.
    • n’t go wrong.
    • Its awesome u can take it anywhere cause it wireless
