You can see the missing teeth in the picture

The plastic gear broke some teeth and it gets hung up.

As shown in my picture attached, there are broken teeth within the gear wheels

After shredding, the device runs for a few seconds to clean out the teeth which is nice as it prevents jams later on

Bought this as a replacement for my decades old Fellowes shredder that finally was still running but was no longer shredding because the teeth were so dulled
