I love the micro cut and the pull out basket for the shreddings
The micro cut is really small, like rice pieces, and you would really need a lot of time on your hands if you wanted to put these shredded documents back together
Works fine to do the occasional credit card and the micro cut is nice
The "micro cut" is very nice, turning paper into confetti that can never be put back together
This is an amazing micro cut shredder for a home or personal office shredder.
Price Is MUCH cheaper than other products that offer the same features
Amazon dropped the price one week after I bought it but refused to credit my account with the difference so I had to return it (they deducted the shipping from my price so my net was about plus $1) and it stops after a few minutes of shredding
Best shredder I have owned and got it at a great price!
and the price is not bad at all.
Awesome shredder at a great price, would buy another one.
It does a good job of shredding paper into tiny pieces.
Does a great job shredding and really can shred more than one sheet!
It does a great job with shredding PVC cards such as credit cards
Does a very good job of shredding paper into very small bits
This does a great job is cross-cutting and shredding paper documents....but I doubt that it will do eight sheets at a time, about five sheets at a time would be the maximum.
This product broke right after the one-year warranty was over
This would be a great product if Amazon would fix the electric eye problem, but I absolutely would not recommend it after having two fail in approximately a year.
I would buy this product again or recommend it to a friend.
Kudos Amazon for such a great product at a very reasonable price!!!
Great product but doesn't take a lot of paper at one time.
After shredding, the device runs for a few seconds to clean out the teeth which is nice as it prevents jams later on
As shown in my picture attached, there are broken teeth within the gear wheels
Bought this as a replacement for my decades old Fellowes shredder that finally was still running but was no longer shredding because the teeth were so dulled
This failed as of about seven light-duty months on the job, probably as a result of a defective switch or wiring
Other reviewers expressed concerns that the disc slicing only into 4 segments would not provide enough data destruction, and data might be retrievable by re-assembling the segments and/or read from the individual segments
As a side note for those interested in digital data destruction, and analogous to the above, I also understand that it's probably not worth the time/effort to wipe a hard-disk using gov-mil-spec procedure to write zeros/ones with 3 passes when it's going to disposal or transferred to other peoples.
It does the trick and works as it should.
the CD/DVD disc shredder a passable job at data destruction when it cut the disk in half and scratched the disk in a few areas.
I'm using a piece of scrap paper on which I've drawn big lazy S's across the paper with 3-in-one oil.
Bought this shredder recently mainly to shred several hundred CD/DVDs accumulated over years of backup data and hard-disks image files

They mostly break from putting credit cards (or disks) through, but they can break just after a couple years of paper-shredding use too.
