    AmazonBasics Standby UPS 400VA 255W, 6 Outlets

    • After a power outage which drains the battery (which is less than 1 hour for this 800VA UPS), the UPS requires a person to physically press the power button on the UPS, in order to restore power to the protected plugs.
    • It is simple to set up, the power management system was a snap to download and install, and there are more than enough power outlets for my needs
    • It's not a horribly expensive power strip I
    • We have a lot of thunderstorm activity around here, and briefly lose power pretty regularly
    • But it sure is nice to have my computer and modem not restart for every little power glitch and interruption.
    • I ordered this because power in my area has been very spotty lately
    • This unit does NOT automatically restart after a power outage which drains the battery.
    • The day after I received this we had a power surge in Menifee that knocked out the Power Supplies for a couple friends, yet this baby protected my PC components and worked just as expected!
    • There should then be more than an hour of AC power available for the devices which run on a DC power supply, such as the network switch and the FM stereo transmitter
    • Great basic backup power for computers for $20 less than the competition.
    • When the power is interrupted, the battery takes over and emits a continuous tone
    • Do your research before purchasing something like this, or else you may not have an understanding of power consumption like another review on here.
