Since that time, I bought an APC model UPS from Amazon as a replacement, and so far it has worked flawlessly, and I might add, operates quieter than the defective AmazonBasics unit.

I am actually pretty sad to say this, the unit had so much promise for me

The unit itself is not that bad, but my main bug with it is that after a power outage and the power is restored, the unit will continue to operate from its battery until you manually reset it (power on and off)

This may be fine for some people who are using their equipment at the time, but for me is a real hassle as we frequently have sort (1-2 minute) outages and shutting things down to restart the unit is a real pain

A basic compact unit with easy set-up and no bells and whistles

I wish I can give them a better higher rating, best and convenient UPS unit for small office PC

The limited warranty is much shorter than what some other more expensive units offer

This unit is adequate for the home entertainment center application, or a simple home office with a single PC and monitor to allow the time necessary for an orderly shutdown
