I have a Spigen tough armor case with a kickstand on my iPhone 8+ and no issues at all charging

However, this failed to charge my son's iphone 8 with clear case due to circular metal sticker (so he can mount on cell phone holder attached to car)

This works well with a Samsung Note 8 in the Rugged Protective Case while the Note 8 in that case won't charge on the newer Samsung Fast Charging Wireless Convertible pad.

A Qi charger will not do turbo charge as of yet - not strong enough -- maybe in the future.
