a month after I left my bad product review, I was contacted out of the blue by Anker Client Care regarding my 2-star review & I told them what I'd described below- that the battery got so bad, so quickly, that the earbuds were worthless.

I'm a fan of Anker products (I have their brick portable battery charger and bluetooth speaker) but these headphones have been extremely disappointing

If you need a cheap set of bluetooth earbuds that sometimes work, battery drains quickly and loses battery capacity quickly, then these are the ones for you.

Serious negative for me is that there is no audio warning when the battery is almost dead ... if you're not checking the visual indicator (blue/red LED) on the housing at the relevant time it just cuts out.

Initially I had a pair with horrible battery life that would die after 90 minutes, within a day or so that I posted my review staying my issues ankers customer service dept

They sound very nice, are lightweight, and the battery lasts long enough that I usually only need to charge it once or twice a week

some observations... got about three hours use time, during first week, but the use was separated by several days, and I left in Soundbuds in a cold car during this period, which probably drained the battery

This indicates to me that either the manufacturer is using ultra-cheap batteries not designed to last, or storing the products in a way that degrades the battery

I'd mentioned originally, the battery now works as advertised- giving me a ton of standby time & at least the 7 hours of playback time they quote in the product listing.

I suppose that is a disadvantage of bluetooth headphones with a small profile, as there's not much space for a reasonable battery to power any decent level of sound
