The power cord doesn't have a bulky transformer built in like alot of the other chargers we own...nice touch.

It seems to gently charge the battery and it the battery gets warm but not too hot too touch when charging.

The larger C and D cells that the EBL chargers would either refuse to charge or would overheat also worked fine in this charger.
