APC technical support confirmed that this product will not work with pure sine wave power supplies and they do not offer any products in this price range that work with modern power supplies

This unit seems to work well, as I no longer suffer lockups of the blue ray player or loss of streamed video over the internet.

Note, this unit does NOT put out a pure A/C sine-wave.
