APC Back-UPS Connect BGE90M,120V, Network Backup with USB Charging ports

    • This device, however, is an insult.
    • Works great is a great add on to a full size UPS just to keep the network up as my other devices kill the bigger UPS in under an hour.
    • I consider this a novel and very useful device - you get extended runtime for critical low power devices which a normal UPS won't provide.
    • It's important to heed the safety warning: The device is still electrified when unplugged
    • Great device.
    • So now all my devices are surge-protected and, if we have a short blackout, I can stay connected to the internet.
    • This device worked, until I ripped the thing appart to prevent it from beeping
    • and this device has really been convenient to have
    • In the end, the outage lasted for 12 hours, and the UPS wouldn't have powered the phones for the entire outage, but this device gave me the peace of mind I needed.
    • it was designed specifically to help protect phones, pads and portable devices
    • I'm using the system as emergency back-up exactly as it was designed to be used...also as an occasional extra set of plugs to charge some of the smaller portable devices in the house overnight before carrying them away from home the next morning.
    • Because of this unit I started buying other ups for all the sensitive devices in my house, starting with my high end custom build pc
    • It is performing dual functions: protecting the devices and also allows me to shut off the Roku when I’m not using it so it doesn’t overheat.
    • This device is worse than no UPS at all, IMO.It is irresponsible of APC to market this UPS for network devices
    • I certainly recommend this device and any other APC product.
    • Great device.
    • The unit might not handle large-wattage devices but for what it's designed for -- routers, say -- it's fine, and that means you can keep your AC devices online in a power outage (and recharge mobile devices as well)
    • If your power supply is subject to even tiny fluctuations, this device will send out a loud, shrill alarm all hours of the day and night.
    • This device worked, until I ripped the thing appart to prevent it from beeping
    • Not only did the devices continue to work, but I also was able to continue to charge my phone while the power was out.
    • this is not a UPS for a computer, it's a UPS for simple, dumb, very low power devices, and it's done quite well at running them in my testing so far.
    • Many others have complained about it and you can even find instructions online on how to open the device up and work with the electronics to disable / destroy the speaker.
    • It does not support three prong devices.
    • Out-of-the-box, this is a nice looking device
    • Nice that it also has the USB ports for a quick charge of portable devices in an emergency.
    • Great device for providing independent UPS protection of you home network equipment (cable MODEM and Router), while also providing a charging station for a portable batteries for your phones and tablets.
    • I use it on my night stand for my smart devices and my Hue light
    • This is a well built handy device
    • Having the USB direct plug-in is neat, but I don't use them.**Be advised that this unit supports only two prong devices
    • Today is the day I appreciated this device.
    • It is also equipped with 2 USB power sockets that are designed to charge cell phones, tablets and other USB capable devices
    • Good device and will recommend
