    APC Back-UPS Pro 1000VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector (BR1000G)

    • Great backup features i really like the information screen
    • I love all the features that come with it
    • It provides proprietary features that just aren't going to be provided by your OS natively
    • This UPS has more features and is working as expected.
    • Powerful unit, well-featured.
    • The TIME LEFT RUNNING is a very useful feature, but I've never tested it because there doesn't seem to be a real good reason to continue using a computer when you've no idea when the power is coming on again.
    • Had to turn off the "smart" power feature, but it's been solid

    • You would hope that Amazon would have newer inventory of these units, or that Amazon wouldnt knowingly carry defective units, but clearly from the reviews on Amazon, it's still hit or miss as to whether or not you will order an APC BR1500MS (or BR1000MS, etc) and get one that doesn't chirp
    • They don' t require much power, like the Bridgeport mill and Republic Turnmaster lathe they serve
    • Power outage at the house (Storm), lost connectivity (router, etc.)...the "U" in UPS is false with this thing
