I really like that there are outlets that only have surge protection and do not drain the battery.

If you need to use an extension cord, use a high amperage, heavy duty cord that itself has no surge protection.

1500G (non-sinewave) is still running strong and it's on the same circuit.

It's also completely silent, no fans at all (BR1000G)

I believe the APC BR1000G is working well as the room where the Alienware is being used is much cooler than prior to use of this UPS box.

They don' t require much power, like the Bridgeport mill and Republic Turnmaster lathe they serve

These machines also have state of art computer controls that require clean a/c current

My inverter just doesn't have enough power by itself or clean a/c

Other companies are certainly improving, but when it's critical I always go with APC.
